Addison did feel a little guilty.
After all, he'd been her best friend for three years, and he'd bought her a corsage and rented a limo and when prom was over, he hadn't turned into one of those guys who assumed they were going right upstairs to a hotel room. Instead, Skippy had taken her by the arm, given her a look that told her she looked pretty tonight, and asked her if she wanted to go for a walk.
She did.
But then somehow, their conversation had taken a turn for the worse, and they'd ended up here, with her furious and Skippy desperately trying to backtrack.
"Hey, Addie, I was just -"
She crossed her arms over her chest and scowled at him. "I want to go home."
Addison did feel a little guilty, but she wasn't about to do it with someone who thought Luke Skywalker could beat up Captain Kirk. Even if he did take her to prom.

Izzie Stevens wouldn't look her in the eye for three months after the quints.
Sometimes, Addison wondered if she knew how much that really hurt.

It wasn't that she had feelings for Preston.
But there were times. Like when he mentioned, out loud with a gallery of interns watching, that he didn't like her husband. There were times when she thought maybe Preston was the kind of guy she could have feelings for.

Addison did have to admit, there was something about Meredith Grey when she'd been drinking.
The way she shook her head every time she disagreed with something they were discussing, so that her hair slipped forward to hide her eyes. The way she managed to make stumbling over to a barstool nearer to Addison almost graceful, even after two shots of tequila together and who knows how many drinks before they'd started talking. The way she looked at Addison, in that moment where Meredith decided that yeah, she was taking her home tonight. The way she put her hand on Addison's knee and slurred to her in a whisper, "Take me for a ride, Addison."
And Addison smiled, and took her by the hand to lead her out of Joe's, trying not to feel everyone watching the two of them. She smiled and kissed her once next to the cab, before letting Meredith slide in and closing the door behind her. She tried not to think about the fact that she knew the address to give the cab driver without hesitating.
There was something about Meredith Grey when she'd been drinking, but Addison wasn't her husband, and Meredith wasn't her mistress tonight.

In hindsight, it was more out of habit than any real, meaningful emotion.
It just seemed like the thing to do. Because Derek was gone, and Addison was home alone with a stack of medical journals and decisions to make about their dead dog to keep her company. So when she heard a knock on the door of the trailer and opened it to find Mark soaking wet on her doorstep, all she could think was that it felt just like New York.
And just like in New York, it wasn't until after she'd invited him in and they were lying drowsy and spent on the bed she shared with Derek, that she realized she was cheating on her husband with his best friend. Again.
